The kids go back to school tomorrow!
I find it a little hard to believe that I have a 2nd, 3rd & 4th grader now.
We just wrapped up a quick house tidy as a family. Mac and Car put away clean clothes, picked up dirty clothes, and helped put away toys. CC picked up toys and threw out the bathroom trash. Steven and I did a little bit of everything. The house feels good for a first day of school tomorrow.
We had Back to School Night for Mac and Car today. They each have a teacher that a brother before them had, so it was very nice to see familiar faces. Car’s teacher gave me a big hug. I loved working with her last year for CC and am so happy that she is Car’s teacher this year. Mac has Car’s teacher from last year. He is wonderful, too! Feeling truly blessed and grateful for the incredible educators at my sons’ school.
I think I have prepared just about all I can this evening for a smooth first day of school.
From a few last minute school and lunch supplies for tomorrow to setting out clothes and making the kitchen table a little fun, we are as ready as can be.

If I am missing something to prep, I have no idea what it could be. LOL
Is there anything else you prepare for school the night before?
This super tired mama is going to bed feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia. What is it they say about motherhood? The best part is watching them grow… and the hardest part is watching them grow. ❤️
I am going to share that first paragraph with Eli!
Bradley pointed out that Elis kinder teacher is now a 1st grade teacher. I hoped Addy would have the chance to have her & it’d be a little easier to say, “This was Eli’s first teacher, too.”
I remember you shared decorating for their last day of school, so I wrote on the bathroom mirror in Expo marker “Happy Last Day of School” with drawings for Eli, so this also motivates me to make the first day just a little bit extra special, also!
& I don’t prepare anything the night before school. We are always about to head out and scrambling looking for shoes. Lol
This past June was the first time we had ever decorated and found we all enjoyed it very much! So I thought maybe that can be our new first and last day of school thing ☺️
I love the mirror message idea! I need something on the boys’ bathroom mirror to Cesar that says “BRUSH YOUR GUMS!” Haha he tends to avoid fully cleaning his teeth because he avoids the bristles touching his gums 🤦🏻♀️ thats also a good idea to write encouraging messages for them to read in the morning before school. Love it!
Those scrambling days will 100% happen for us this school year too haha… probably the days we procrastinate all their projects to the night before they are due hahaha
